Write up from The Flat Coated Retriever Championship show April 6th 2008

In my opinion this dog possesses one of the most classical heads of the present time. Since I last judged him he has matured all over and he is now a much better balance dog. Correct shoulder and upper arm construction . Level topline and good tail set and carriage. He has very good legs and fee. To complete the picture his backend has now strengthened. He moved soundly and with style and was shown in lovely condition. Jenny Bird

In 2007 Seymour gained his Show Working Gundog Certificate and continued to work through the shooting season of 2007/2008

Tomlinson & Keights Rainesgift Seymour. I appreciated this opportunity to judge this handsome fellow ,most elegant of Flat coats. His proud stance almost over emphasing his reach of neck pure ,breed type with classic head and softest expression revealing his gentle nature . His construction from a good fore chest down to the best feet in the breed today is admirable . He is well exercised and is now moving more purposefully with more finish in coat should receive the recognition he deserves.

Seymour has worked through this shooting season with continued vigour. He works effortlessly with silent and steady determination and will enter any cover readily. He is an excellent marker and has a fantastic nose. He has proven to be an essential member of the Monkwood picking up team working along side his mother Berrie half sister Renn and daughter Fleur.

He has produced award winners in both the Show ring and the field . He has CC and Reserve CC winning off spring as well as winners of the SWGC and Shooting dog Certificate.

His progeny are also proving to have both excellent hip and eye results.
