In 1974, Florida news anchor Christine Chubbuck committed suicide live on television. Her death partly inspired the plot of Network (1976), but Antonio Campos is the first director to bring her life to the screen, in a drama laced with dark humour; Rebecca Hall (The Prestige) stars as Chubbuck.Surprisingly, Christine is not the only Chubbuck film at this year’s Sundance: Robert Greene’s genre pushing documentary, Kate Plays Christine, will also screen at the festival, following the actress Kate Lyn Sheil as she prepares to play Chubbuck in a “stylised soap opera” version of her life. Taken together, the two films should make a powerful double bill.Holy Hell (documentary)Straight out of film school, Will Allen spent 20 years living in an LA cult known as Buddhafield.
Dear Liz: I got a big tax refund this year and am trying to figure out what to do with the money. Right now I have school loans with a 4% interest rate that I do not need to make a payment on until 2024 with my current payment plan, but the amount I owe is pretty hefty and I know it’s going to compound more over time. I also have a very low interest car loan (1.9%) that will be paid off in 31/2 years.
And Leia blamed Snoke directly, seeming to know nothing of Luke’s moment of weakness. I know if my brother pulled out a knife on my kid, brother or no, intentions to go through with it or no, I’d be pissed as hell and harboring no small amount of grudge. So as much as Leia loves Luke I don’t know that she’d just be like “oh it’s okay.”.
The wooden rimmed Moto Lita gives a wonderful period tactility, and yet is fully adjustable. And even though the seats adjust for height, they don’t move, so swing a lever under the dash, and you can adjust the entire Tilton pedal box. You sit facing wonderful analogue Smith gauges set in a simple ally dash, and flick solid feeling toggles for other functions, of which there are reassuringly few: indicators, ignition, hazards.
It was a blast meeting so many people. The Olympians, the volunteers, the families, and the Russian fans were so pumped up to be there. During the entire trip, I only heard the press complaining I couldn’t find one spectator, worker, athlete, or coach who had issues.
GENOVESE: Yeah. I think it was a case of where Mr. Rosenthal thought through and composed in his head a scenario that seemed to fit with the facts that he knew at the time that he was able to speak out to the public that was coming from his heart rather than as a professional, I’m even though I’m an editor, I’m a reporter, basically.
